Principal’s Message
Dr. Nathaniel Marner
Dear Cordello Families.
I hope this letter finds you well. As we welcome the month of April, I wanted to take a moment to share some important updates and upcoming events at Cordello.
Academic Progress
We have now entered the final trimester of the school year. I encourage you to continue supporting your children by ensuring they read each evening and complete their homework assignments, as this greatly impacts their academic success. Please note that report cards are available, and you can access them through the parent portal.
Spring Break
Our spring break is scheduled from April 14 to April 22. Whether you have plans to travel or enjoy a staycation, I hope this time provides an opportunity for rest and rejuvenation. School will reopen on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Standardized Testing
As we approach the end of the school year, students will be participating in standardized assessments, including the NYS ELA CBT exams for grades 3-6 on April 8 and April 9, the NYS Math CBT exams on April 29 and April 30, and the NYSESLAT speaking exams beginning on April 23. Please ensure your child gets ample rest the night before and arrives at school on time.
Health and Safety Reminders
With the changing seasons, please remind your children to practice good hygiene, such as regular handwashing, to prevent the spread of illnesses. Additionally, please ensure that students are dressed appropriately for the varying spring weather conditions.
Contact Information
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can make this final stretch of the school year both productive and enjoyable for our students.
